Hello There!
My name is Adriana and I am the owner of Moonflour Bakery! I’ve loved baking ever since I made my first boxed cake at the age of eight (and thought that was the hardest thing ever). The name Moonflour is a subtle nod to the fantastical, as I am a HUGE nerd and delight in crafting baked goods that are inspired by fandom (Totoro cupcake anyone?).
I love the idea of cake, but I’ve often found that they are just too sweet! And well, boring. I’m the sort of person who loves going into dessert shops just to look at all the cool flavors, and I take about an hour to eat any dessert because I’m analyzing all the components and textures. At Moonflour Bakery, I take great care to balance each dessert to create a delicious and luxurious experience.
As someone with a severe peanut allergy, I’ve often felt left out of the dessert world. Although the current commercial kitchen I work out of is not nut free, I do not use nuts in any of my desserts. I am also proud to offer a variety of plant based options as well!
